And in today's news....

Chris Brown is once again in the news for abuse. However, it's not physical this time. He's currently in a war of words with Tila Tequila. Tequila was beaten by boyfriend, Shawne Merriman, linebacker for San Diego, about two weeks ago. The San Diego D.A. has dropped charges against Merriman and now Tequila is lashing out at Brown over Twitter. Brown has since retaliated on his Twitter with, "NOT TRYNA BE RUDE but i keep hearing tila bringing my name up. ur 15 seconds of fame has ended. dont try to gain fans by dissing me.godbless." Finally people have a reason to use Twitter.

Serena Williams, the younger of the two tennis star sisters, lost a match due to a penalty point given to her opponent. Earlier in the match, Williams broke her racket, and the point was earned when she cussed out the line judge. The judge called Williams's foot on a serve which sparked the outburst. Thanks Serena, now we all have an excuse for watching tennis.
Whoopi Goldberg is hit with a cheap shot by Chris Myers, an announcer for the Detroit Lions. During the game today, Myers was making a comment about Julian Peterson, a current linebacker for the Detroit Lions. Myers said "Going from two super bowls in Pittsburg to the winless Detroit team- that's like going from dating Beyonce to Whoopi Goldberg." Goldberg has yet to respond.

Ellen DeGeneres is set to take over for Paula Abdul on American Idol. DeGeneres announced this in a taping of her show earlier sometime this week. Abdul has been quoted saying, "she'll be great." But of course, Abdul was always the "nice one," so what else did you expect her to say?
